News item “Registrations to get easier” was published in Deccan Chronicle of 26 Feb. This is the first time such a bold decision has been announced.
The CM of Telangana has declared that registration and mutation should be done within 48 hours, with a penalty clause of Rs 1000 per day of delay. If this is really implemented, multiple registrations of same property will significantly reduce. Land related litigations will come down. Delays in development programmes will also be reduced resulting in huge savings. Thi new item is included in this issue.
In Nizamabad District, Cadastral Surveys were carried out using digital photogrammetry under Bhubharati. Results were published in 1998.
